Completely Stumped? Let’s Get You Moving.
Technical Guidance from a Professional Bench
Even with the right manuals and tools, vintage watchmaking can present challenges that don’t have a “textbook” answer. Whether you are struggling to identify a movement, find a rare part or crystal, need a technical manual or data sheet, or just need some advice from a watchmaker, I’m here to help.
I offer a “Point Me in the Right Direction” service for hobbyists and amateurs who have hit a technical wall. For a small $5 fee—essentially buying me a cup of coffee for my time—I will review your specific issue via email and provide my professional insight, a link to the resource you’re missing, or the exact part number you need to find.
How It Works
To ensure I can provide real value, I use a simple three-step process:
- Email Me First: Contact me at watchguy66@gmail.com with a brief description of your problem. Please include the Make and Caliber of the watch. I want to make sure I’m available and familiar with your specific issue before you pay anything.
- Get the Green Light: I will reply to confirm that I can help and may ask for a couple of specific photos.
- The Coffee Tip: Once we’re set, you can send the $5 through the Buy Me a Coffee link below. I will then provide the technical guidance or sourcing info you need to get back to work.
